Istotne Nagr. pres. Hassan K. release party feat. PROBLEMS & DJs

27 listopada

Pt, 27 lis o 21:00 Istotne Nagr. pres. Hassan K. release party feat.

🎸 Hassan K. (FR/IR)
https://hassan-k.com/
https://hassank.bandcamp.com

To muzycznie dynamiczna opowieść zbudowana z połączenia estetyki Bollywood-core, tradycyjnych perskich rytmów, math rocka, surf rocka, metalu, elektroniki, hindustrialnego techno i wreszcie harsh noise’u.
Czeka nas niesamowity wieczór, a to dopiero pierwszy przedstawiony artysta 😉

🎤 PROBLEMS (US)

– Kooky Nuts Pop).
Darren lubi śpiewać o psach, kleju i orzechach.

Otwierał koncerty m.in. dla Peaches, Sleaford Mods, Getdown Services, Dana Deacona, Pile, death’s dynamic shroud, Mezerg, Lightning Bolt, Wolf Eyes, Plack Blague, i wielu innych. ❤

I wzbudzać tarab.

Muzyczne wykształcenie zaszczepiło w niej miłość do melodii, a ciekawość ciągnie ją ku afrykańskim rytmom, arabskim brzmieniom i potrzaskanej elektronice.

The Wrocław-based cassette label Istotne Nagr. invites you to a wild oriental release party celebrating Hassan K.’s new album “Gharbzadeh.” The gem of the season, on the concert side of UCZULENIE.
Friday night will be brought to you by:
🎸 Hassan K. (FR/IR)
https://hassan-k.com/
https://hassank.bandcamp.com
Those of you who caught his performance at Klub Szalonych during last year’s Avant Art Festival will surely agree it was an incredibly lively one-man show, and Hassan’s stage energy rubbed off on everyone in the room. That September meeting also bore fruit in an invitation for Istotne Nagr. to join the group of labels behind his new album, as the label responsible for the cassette edition. Almost exactly a year later, “Gharbzadeh” has seen the light of day, and he’s back on the road, with Wrocław, of course, on the itinerary.
Hassan K. is the solo project of French-Iranian artist Keyvane Alinaghi, a sound designer and hacker who lives by a DIY ethos and the ideals of free software. His latest album, “Gharbzadeh,” delves into the history of Iran, focusing on the Qajar dynasty (late 18th to early 20th century) and the effects of Westernization. It examines the damage done by imposed models that reshaped the country’s cultural customs, as well as the violence of imperial powers. Musically, it’s a dynamic story built from Bollywood-core aesthetics, traditional Persian rhythms, math rock, surf rock, metal, electronics, hindustrial techno and, finally, harsh noise. The artist plays original and adapted instruments such as the electric setar and kamânche. On earlier albums he also modified the microtonal guitar with added sensors and “robotized” the santur and the electric zurna.
As you listen to “Gharbzadeh,” just try to imagine how intense it will sound live and how deep a trance it will pull us into. And if you know our space, you know we don’t keep our distance. It’s going to be an incredible night, and this is only the first artist we’re introducing 😉
🎤 PROBLEMS (US)

Our second live guest of the evening is Chicago’s Darren Keen, aka PROBLEMS (you may have heard one of his tracks on the third volume of Istotne Nagr.’s flagship compilation series, Kooky Nuts Pop).
Darren likes to sing about dogs, glue and nuts. His latest album, “PROBLEMS GETTING HARD,” is about how to get in shape in the age of buy-now-pay-later shopping and online banking: a tale of losing weight on credit, of the cycle of life and debt, built on a foundation of Fender Bass VI. You could say that here, we’re fully immersed in Westernization.
PROBLEMS has toured extensively in Europe, New Zealand and the US. He has opened for Peaches, Sleaford Mods, Getdown Services, Dan Deacon, Pile, death’s dynamic shroud, Mezerg, Lightning Bolt, Wolf Eyes, Plack Blague and many more. Expect a high-energy, engaging show. This guy is a tiger on stage! ❤
After the live sets, our excellent DJ crew will carry on the bass-heavy, oriental and Middle Eastern vibes on the dance floor:
🎧 kopiko
https://www.instagram.com/tarab91.6/
Zuza Kopij, who plays under this name, has spent over a year presenting different faces of Arabic music to Radio LUZ listeners in her show Tarab. In Arab culture, the word describes a feeling of mystical ecstasy evoked by music and poetry, and that’s exactly what she’s chasing: everything full of humanity and emotion, of shapes and structures. Kopiko’s sets are packed with bass rumble, sonic bumps and flashes in the upper registers. She especially likes to blend contemplation with lively foot-tapping, and to summon tarab. In other words, to get everyone tarab-ing.
🎧 mernesthewave
https://www.instagram.com/mernesthewave/
She made her debut last year at the summer edition of BASSówa. Since then she has made a name for herself as co-organizer of the Czilera Utopia series, held in Wrocław’s parks. She is currently developing her style at the crossroads of bass music and euphoric sounds.
🎧 lazaria
Sensitive to sound, impatient with stillness. Connected to Akademickie Radio LUZ, she carries her musical curiosity onto Wrocław’s dance floors as well. Her musical training instilled in her a love of melody, while her curiosity pulls her toward African rhythms, Arabic sounds and glitchy electronics.
