Heated Land is a band project founded in Dresden in 2012 around Augsburg-born singer-songwriter Andreas Mayrock. Inspired by American artists such as JJ Cale, Bill Callahan or Big Thief, Heated Land’s songs wander through vast landscapes and use imagery of nature to tell stories of freedom, longing, and hope. Their new album, set for release in early 2027, is shaped and inspired by a time spent in the countryside in warm fellowship and reflects on the magic of nature, the contradictions of the self, love, loss, and modern oddities such as the madness of self-optimization. Like the three previous albums, it will be released on the Dresden-based labels K&F Records and Hometown Caravan Records.
